girl gently holds spoon with a tiny trout egg

The 3rd grade was very excited to receive their trout eggs last week! Each student took a couple turns to gently drop an eyed-egg (or two) into the carefully controlled tank. The trout project is always a highlight of the 3rd grade science curriculum which culminates with a field trip to Lake Lagunitas to release the baby trout (called fry) into the wild. Stay tuned for updates on our tiny fish friends!
