Every October, the kindergartners collaborate on the design and creation of a carnival of their choosing. Together they brainstorm and plan their ideas for games and then work to bring these games to life. The purpose of our carnival is to show the important, child-directed, project-based learning happening in the Kindergarten classroom and to have fun! This year, the carnival theme was COLORS, which gave our students plenty of opportunities to demonstrate their knowledge of the colors in Hebrew. Once the carnival was ready to present, we invited other classes to join us, and the kindergartners took responsibility for "running" the carnival games. It is always a creative and festive celebration for everyone!
