Simchat Torah Tefillah

Last week, we celebrated Simchat Torah—a joyful moment that marks the completion of the yearly Torah reading cycle and the joyful beginning of a new one—a beautiful reminder that the pursuit of learning and discovery never ends.

Gathered in the beautiful Rodef Sholom sanctuary, Rabbi Leo helped us unscroll the entire Torah from beginning to end—a breathtaking sight that stretched around the room. Students had the chance to see the sacred text up close, noticing details like the first word, Bereshit (“in the beginning”), and the last, Yisrael (“Israel”). Without vowels or punctuation, every word in the Torah invites infinite interpretation—an ongoing reminder that the Torah’s wisdom continues to unfold with each new reading. Thank you Rabbi Leo for helping us celebrate this meaningful day! For photos from the morning, click HERE
