Science is a BLAST at Brandeis Marin!

8th grade students finished middle school science on an explosively high note with a look at the forces that help us explore space. Their last project challenged students to build a landing capsule that can separate from its bottle rocket and safely bring its fragile contents (an egg) to the ground. We had a great time designing landing capsules and parachutes, then launching our designs outside on Swig Field (much to the lower school students' delight)! Dramatic launches and soft landings always made our student teams happy, but the accidents were pretty fun too! Special thanks to alumni Max Unkrich (class of 2018) for his awesome video work during this project - check it out!
