Science Blasts Off!

8th grade students finished middle school science on a very high note with a look at the forces that help us explore space. Their last project was a challenge to build a landing capsule that can separate from its bottle rocket and safely bring its fragile contents (an egg) to the ground. We had a great time designing landing capsules and parachutes, then launching our rockets outside on Swig Field with our Kindergarten buddies. Special thanks to Marni and Michelle for always finding time for kindergarten to explore physics with us – we will miss you! Enjoy the photos and videos from the morning!
