The first grade has officially finished their nonfiction writing unit! To support their animal research project, they enjoyed a special mixed media art class with Evren’s mom, Liz, who taught them to draw animals using shapes to create beautiful posters to accompany their report. The results are fabulous—we can’t wait to reveal them next week at our next publishing party! A huge thank you to Liz for leading the fun art project – the students had a fantastic time bringing their animals to life in both their writing and artwork.
