Creatures and Habitats

Last week, the 2nd graders had an exciting field trip to the Academy of Sciences! The trip supported their science unit on organisms and habitats. As the students explored the various exhibits, they focused on the diversity of living things and their interactions with their environments. They observed creatures like butterflies, frogs, fish, and Claude, the albino alligator, in beautifully recreated habitats. Back in class, 2nd graders are continuing to learn through hands-on activities to understand how organisms adapt to survive in different environments, such as deserts, oceans, and forests, and will display these in their upcoming diorama projects.
