Chagigat HaTanach in 5th

Last week we celebrated the achievements of the 5th grade with a special year-end ceremony we call the Chagigat HaTanach. The 5th Graders worked hard all year studying and analyzing stories and characters written about in the Tanach - the Hebrew bible. Our students found ways to connect these characters and their challenges to their own lives today. Each 5th grader shared a personal drash (a sermon interpreting text) with reflections on how individuals can transform themselves, how behavior reflects character, and how their learning has shaped their aspirations and goals.

This beautiful tradition was concluded with a presentation of a Tanach for each student in recognition of their completion of lower school. Mazal tov to the 5th grade students and teachers for a wonderful celebration of family at their Chagigat HaTanach!
