Earlier this week, the 7th grade headed to Ashland for an exploration of drama, discovery, and plenty of fun! At the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, students didn’t just watch theater—they jumped in, sharpening their analytical skills and acting chops in hands-on workshops led by professional actors. They unraveled the political intrigue of Julius Caesar (performed with an all-woman cast) debating power and persuasion like true literary detectives, and explored the razor-sharp wit of Oscar Wilde. Beyond the stage, they roamed Oregon State University and downtown Ashland together, tasting tea and sulfuric water, working together to solve escape room challenges, and balancing deep discussions with laughter and adventure. From Shakespearean showdowns to Wilde’s clever quips, this trip brought literature to life in the most unforgettable way!
