Adventures in Learning

The 4th and 5th grade classes recently made the trek to the Sierra Outdoor School and Columbia State Park for their three-day outdoor education trips. Immersed in the raw beauty of the Sierras, they investigated the microorganisms and characteristics of the river, learned about the local ecology, imagined the hardships of life in the gold rush era, and even tried (successfully!) panning for gold. With night hikes and cave exploration, their trips were jam-packed with fun adventures and learning for everyone, including two brave parent chaperones (thanks Michael and Corinna!). We're thrilled to welcome outdoor education back to the experiential learning experience at Brandeis Marin! You can see photos from the 4th grade trip HERE, and the 5th grade trip HERE.
