3 girls inspect the center of a homemade labyrinth with green hills and playing kids in the background

Last week the fourth graders strengthened their understanding of ocean conservation and passion for animal protection with an informative and interactive tour of the world's largest marine mammal hospital – the Marine Mammal Center in the Marin Headlands. Through demonstrations and inquiry, our knowledgeable docent brought to life the 5R's of their work – Rescue, Rehabilitation, Research, Release, and Reach Out. After the tour, we explored the beautiful trails overlooking the ocean, cementing our connection to the environment and inspiration to care for its creatures. What a beautiful day to experience the joy of learning – thank you parent chaperones for joining us!
