A Beautiful Day at the Zoo

The third grade enjoyed a beautiful sunny day at the San Francisco Zoo this week! After earning a party for staying positive and doing their best work in class, the students voted for a trip to the zoo to celebrate and learn about animals together. The zoo trip offered the perfect opportunity to bring experiential learning to our Jewish Studies curriculum, as we’re currently learning the Torah text of Noah's Ark. Students chose an animal to sketch and study, and then shared their research with the rest of the class. Along with their hard work, the third graders enjoyed the animals, a romp in the playground, and yummy treats. It was a really special day which we will remember as one of the highlights of the year. Many thanks to our parent chaperones!
