On the cusp of middle school, our 5th graders have reached a significant milestone in their Brandeis journey.
Last week, our amazing 7th graders wrapped up their year-long Tzedakah project—combining Jewish learning, social justice, research, and real-world impact.
Last week, our first-grade students joyously received their first siddurim (prayer books) during the Chagigat Siddur Tefillah, arguably our favorite Thursday of the year.
Our 7th grade year-long project is the Tzedakah class, which meets twice a week. We start by studying Jewish values by way of the mitzvot, and each student investigates which values mean the most to them personally through exploring the depth and breadth of these commandments.
In the 6th-grade math foundations class, students are learning about algebraic expressions and variables.
Last week, we introduced special Hebrew Step-Up activities to our fifth graders.
