Giving to Brandeis Marin

Brandeis Marin encourages all members of our community to make giving a priority every year, and that is why we have made many options available to increase the impact of your gift. If you have any questions, please contact Barbara Harris, Brandeis Marin Director of Advancement at 415-472-1833.
Not itemizing?

The CARES Act gives you a new way to support the Brandeis Fund in 2020. The CARES Act raised the limit of the deduction for an individual or couple filing jointly to 100% of their adjusted gross income in 2020. The contribution must be paid in cash during the calendar year 2020, and the money cannot come from a foundation or donor-advised fund. The CARES Act also allows taxpayers who are not itemizing in 2020 a $300 adjustment to their income for cash contributions made to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, such as the Brandeis Fund.

"However, there have been no changes to existing deductions for contributions made into a donor-advised fund like your Giving Account. This means you are still able to deduct up to 60% AGI in cash and up to 30% AGI in appreciated assets contributed to a donor-advised fund." - Fidelity Charitable
