BYOD Chromebook Program

BYOD Chromebook Program

Brandeis Marin's “BYOD” (Bring Your Own Device) Chromebook Program requires that all 6th through 8th grade families provide a Chromebook laptop for their students to bring to school with them every day. Chromebook laptops enable us to provide the most consistent, reliable and flexible hybrid learning program to our students, using the many management features built into our K12 Google for Education account, our Blackbaud learning management system, and with GoGuardian, our Chrome management platform.

Details
All rising 6th through 8th Grade students are required to arrive to the Brandeis Marin school year with a family-owned Chromebook laptop. Macs, Windows and tablet devices are not acceptable devices for our BYOD Chromebook Program. Please review the minimum required Chromebook specifications below, as well as the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page for additional tips and guidelines. If the Chromebook requirement presents a financial hardship for your family, please contact Barbara Cohen, Director of Technology, to arrange for a loaner Chromebook for your student.
