4.15.21 ♥ Happy Birthday Israel! ♥
Today is Yom Ha'atzmaut, Israel's Independence Day - one of our favorite holidays! This is a day of joyous celebration, and that's just what was happening on campus today, starting with a beautiful Tefillah led by our newest Israel experts - the 8th grade class. We had an amazing day full of inventive new ways to party (including our very own custom ESCAPE ROOM!! What?! Give it a try HERE!). Ready for some fun? To start, you can watch today's Israel Tefillah now!!

In year's past, we've celebrated Israel's Independence Day with a big school-wide shuk (Israeli style outdoor market) run by the 8th grade class. This year, it was the 8th graders who brought a bit of Israel to each class! They divided into small teams to lead the younger students in fun learning activities, games, and dances, based on what they've learned about Israel on their virtual trip. To read more about this unique Yom Ha'atzmaut, and to see a slideshow of our students in action today, click below.
The 2nd and 3rd grade classes had a blast getting to know the authors of the Ivy + Bean series this week! It's not to late to order your autographed copy of their latest book (and help support local independent bookstores while you're at it)! Click the button below (password is Marin).
At the end of each school week, our lower school teachers record a "recap" video to share with their parents in BrandeisHome. If you're curious about all the learning happening in first through fifth grade, now you can check out last week's recap here in the Spotlight - enjoy!
You asked, and here it is! We now have a news page on our website dedicated to keeping our family and friends in the know. At Hello Grandfriends, you can find the Tefillah Playlist, Spotlight Archive, and other newsy items. Bookmark this page so you can stay in touch!
