Dear Lower School Brandeis Marin Families,
Distance learning at Brandeis Marin starts tomorrow! Your child's classroom teachers and specialist teachers have been working today to plan the class curriculum and implementation for the coming weeks. Everyone is doing their best to teach and learn in these uncharted territories. It may take a few tries to get the lessons up and running, so we are going to model patience and kindness.
There are few things you all should know as we transition to this new way of learning:
- Teachers will be sending you a class letter later today. In this letter, they will let you know when they will begin the video portion of the learning and how that will work.
This is the basic plan they will be outlining.
- Students should:
- Sign in to SeeSaw at 8:00 each day (as per a typical school day).
- Teachers will have a video ready with the daily schedule and assignments.
- Teachers will send specific information about assignments and when their "Office Hours" will be.
- Each grade will have a specific time each day for a Zoom meeting:
- 8:00 4th
- 8:30 K
- 8:30 5th
- 9:00 3rd
- 9:30 2nd
- 10:00 1st
- Attached you will find a protocol sheet for home learning.
- Your teachers will be taking attendance at these meetings each day.
We will be sharing videos with you regularly. We look forward to connecting with you remotely! If you have any questions at any time, please email your child's teachers or us. We are always happy to connect with you.
We are wishing you all the very best of health in these challenging times and look forward to seeing you in person very soon.
