BYOD Chromebook Program

BYOD Chromebook Program

Brandeis Marin's “BYOD” (Bring Your Own Device) laptop program is moving to an all-Chromebook model for the 2020-21 school year. This change enables us to provide the most consistent, reliable and flexible hybrid learning program to our students, using the many management features built into our K12 Google for Education account, and with GoGuardian, our Chrome management platform.

6th Grade Students
All rising 6th Grade students should arrive for the start of the Brandeis Marin school year with a family-owned Chromebook laptop. Please review the minimum required Chromebook specifications below, as well as the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page for additional tips and guidelines. If the Chromebook requirement presents a financial hardship for your family, please contact Alla Krel, Chief Financial Officer, to inquire about financial assistance.

7th and 8th Grade Students
If you are the parent of a current 7th or 8th Grader who already owns a Chromebook, you are all set for the 2020-2021 school year. 7th and 8th Graders who currently use a Mac or Windows laptop for school will need to shift to a Chromebook for the coming school year. If your family is unable to provide your student with a Chromebook, please contact Barbara Cohen, Director of Technology, to arrange for a loaner device for your student. Otherwise, please review the minimum required Chromebook specifications below, as well as the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page for additional tips and guidelines.
