Where possibilities Are Endless

Brandeis Marin's child-centered approach nurtures each student's strengths, fostering self-expression, confidence, and a strong sense of purpose.

Bold voices Bright Futures

Brandeis Marin is a second home where families connect authentically and every student feels valued, supported, and inspired to thrive.

JoAhn Current Parent

“We joined Brandeis Marin in Kindergarten searching for a community where we felt belonging, shared values, and a true sense of home. We found that and more. My daughter Ella, now in third grade, arrived shy and soft spoken; in just three years she has become confident, strong, and deeply kind. Brandeis is nurturing and safe, while still preparing kids for the world beyond its walls. The best of both, and we are so grateful. It is a joy to watch Ella truly love learning and feel excited to challenge herself every day."

Isabelle, Class of '21

“Brandeis taught me to use my voice. Because my teachers were so supportive and approachable, I learned early on to ask questions, share my ideas, and advocate for myself—without fear. In high school, I realized not everyone was taught about self-advocacy, or understood that respect doesn’t mean staying quiet. Brandeis teachers want you to succeed, but more than that, they show you how to lead.

Brandeis also encouraged me to explore. From sports and art to drama, the design lab, clubs, and student leadership, I was pushed to try new things and trust my abilities. My self-confidence has grown with me as I’ve entered bigger, more intimidating spaces. My sense of curiosity and self-belief continues to shape who I am today, and who I hope to become.”

Trish, Teacher

"I have been an English and Drama teacher at Brandeis Marin for the last nine years. Brandeis cultivates a level of what I might call “driven kindness”: a disciplined yet inspired exhortation to capitalize on our strengths, develop through challenge, and honestly engage with our students to make them - and us - better humans. The teachers here want to teach more than anything. The curriculum is set on required standards and skilled techniques within which we have the freedom to innovate and self-direct, therefore honoring the critical, humanist tradition of education as a continuous opening, rather than a narrowing. Students then want to learn more than anything. How exhilarating. How Brandeis."

Martin, Parent '20, '22, '26

“Moving back to the United States after five years in Israel, our family joined Brandeis Marin for the Hebrew. The school met the high-level Hebrew proficiency of our three children, and it’s been smooth sailing ever since. Our children represent different types of learners, yet they have all thrived academically and socially. In fact, all three attest that Brandeis is their second home. Today, our oldest child is a dance major at NYU, our second child seems to be heading for Tulane, and our third is about to graduate from Brandeis, but she doesn’t want to talk about high school, because she loves Brandeis Marin and her friends there so much.”

IZZY, Teacher

“My name is Izzy Hirsch, and I am the fifth-grade teacher at Brandeis Marin. In this role, I continue to have ample opportunities to create engaging curriculum and involve specialists in the cross-curricular units. I see my students finding their voices and leading change in their roles on the leadership team too. There is nothing that makes me happier than seeing students excel and push past what they felt was possible for them to achieve.  I feel really comfortable in a space where we are all rooted in Jewish core values and share a love for cultivating and supporting our community from the bottom up and the top down. ”

RICH, Teacher

“I have felt lucky to be at Brandeis in each of my 25 years of teaching! I’ve always had the flexibility to try new things, and to build a science curriculum that could tell a compelling story.

Teaching is an art in so many ways, and I have been grateful for the creativity that is fostered here, with teachers exploring myriad fun ways for their classes to learn.

I also really enjoy the students I get to work with every day. Brandeis brings out the best in kids by immersing them in a culture of kindness and connectivity. What a joy it is to watch our students graduate with the knowledge and the life skills they need to succeed."
